Antrromet

Hey guys, this is Antrromet (aka Antriksh Saxena) and this is my website about my passions, skills, experience and hobbies. I am currently studying the finer details of computer science, as a grad student from the University of Southern California (USC). Am a tech enthusiast and try to keep up with the amazingly new things happening in tech everyday. I'm a big fan of mobile tech in particular.

Other than tech, am a crazy fan of LOTR (if you don't know what that is, please press ctrl+w and never come back to this site again!) and Metallica. I am (was) a lot into Anime, and I'd say DBZ, Deathnote, Code Geass are (were) some of my favorite ones (not much of a manga guy). I love music, its an essential part of my life. When it comes to music am a Metalhead (Metallica, Maiden anyone?) and I love the classic bands (yes, I'm talking Pink Floyd, The Who, Lynrd Skynrd, Scorpions and if I ever get my hands on a time machine, I'm gonna go back to the time when Led Zep were in their prime)

I'm an Android expert, enthusiast and apps developer. I have explored a multitude of technologies in mobile, web tech, sql, big data, etc etc. My recent areas of interests are in the fields of Big Data and its analysis, content detection, and web search engines. I'm an active contributor to Stack Overflow with around 8000 rating at the time. (trust me, am trying all my best to make it a little higher, so that i can proudly say, Its Over 9000!!!!)

Apps

These are essentially some of the Android projects that I've worked on, that are live on the Play Store at the moment. I've worked on almost all genres of apps be it education, entertainment, military or comics. I also had the opportunity to work with some great clients like US Army, EMC, Vuzix and NDTV. Needless to say, I've worked extensively with all major components of Android (be it Media, Camera, Bluetooth, Network calls, SQLite). I've also worked with a lot of REST APIs and 3rd party libraries (Volley and Picasso being my favorites).

Experience

I've had an experience of around 3 years in the software industry and I enjoyed every bit of it. I love the agile software development methodologies and I can proudly say I'm an agile developer. I've played roles of a team lead, scrum master, intern trainer, to say the least. I was consistently rated "Exceeds Expectations" in the annual performance reviews, during my tenure at Sourcebits.

Testimonial

"One of the best Android developers I've worked with! I've had the pleasure of working with Antriksh for over 2 years, and when its him, you can be sure that the task will be completed in the given time and in the most efficient way possible. His best quality is that he can take on any role without hesitation, be it a developer, scrum master or even a team lead, and excel at it. I have no hesitation in recommending Antriksh and I know that he will always give his best and not let you down"

Nature in my Reel

I won't call myself a photographer but I love travelling to new places and capturing moments. Currently I'm learning and experimenting my photography skills with the Fujifilm HS50 Exr, but this is just the beginning. I hope to become an actual photographer someday! I love nature (as is evident from my pics below), and a peaceful day at a beach or on top of a mountain, where you just sit and enjoy the fresh breeze and the view, would be the definition of a perfect day for me.

I saw the Metal Gods - Metallica live on October 30, 2011 and that was (and still is) the greatest day of my life!

Music - My Life!

I am a Metallicat! I can go on and on about my love for Metallica, but they are the ones who inspired me to pick up a guitar for the first time and play music. I usually play acoustic covers of songs and sing along. Iron Maiden, ACDC, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin are some of the other bands that inspire me a lot.
